Mississippi Plumbing Contractor License
| Requirements: |
- Anyone seeking to become a plumbing contractor in Mississippi is required to sit for two exams, business and law and the trade.
- Applicants are required to submit a CPA reviewed financial statement. This statement must document a net worth of at least $20,000.

| Services: |
A licensed plumber in Mississippi can perform all aspects of plumbing for residential and commercial work. This license does NOT cover fuel gas systems and connections.

An application for licensure can be obtained from the Mississippi State Board of Contractors by calling 1-800-880-6161. The licensing and application fee is $200.00.

| Reciprocity: |
Currently an agreement with South Carolina, Louisiana, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Alabama. |
| Continuing Education: |
There is none at this time. |
| Exam: |
- The testing company is PSI (1-800-733-9267)
- 70 questions and an 3-hour time limit
- 70% is required to pass the exam
- The exam fee is $75.
- Topics on the exam include general knowledge; safety; cleanouts; fixtures and equipment; water heaters; piping, valves, and controls; water supply; hangers and supports; drain, waste, vent; backflow; traps and interceptors; developed length; isometric analysis; and joints and connections.

| Training: |
We offer review for the Mississippi Plumbing Contractor Exam through a 1 day seminar or in a home study/tutorial format. The fee for the class or study guide is $395. The fee for the home study guide is $150. At class, students will receive a study guide includes sample questions, practice math problems, sample blueprints, and a highlighting guide for the approved references.
